Your first scan
Run a complete T1-weighted brain scan in about ten minutes — from case selection to reviewing your images.
1. Load the patient
Open the case list and select Brain — routine adult. ScanFlo positions the virtual patient head-first supine and lands you at the console, exactly as a Siemens-style workflow would.
2. Acquire localizers
Every study starts with a fast three-plane localizer. Run it as-is — these low-resolution images exist for planning, not diagnosis. You will place your slice groups on them in the next step.
3. Set your parameters
Select the T1 SE sagittal protocol. The defaults below produce classic T1 contrast — change any value and the simulated image responds the way a real magnet would.

4. Scan and review
Press Scan. Acquisition runs in simulated real time; your images land in the viewer with window/level controls. Gray matter should appear darker than white matter — that is T1 contrast, and you built it from parameters, not a preset.
Try it in ScanFlo: After your first scan, raise TR to 2000 ms and re-run. Watch the gray–white matter contrast wash out — that is T1 weighting disappearing in real time.
