Is there a free way to try ScanFlo?+
Yes. Create an account and a trial is issued automatically — no card required. You get 45 minutes of console time to use within 7 days, with a starter set of studies, so you can plan, scan and view real output before paying anything. The clock only runs while you are actually scanning.
Read more →What's the difference between Basic and Advanced?+
Basic covers the core console workflow on one device. Advanced adds the complete case library and the full feature set — exam console, viewer and filming. The exact inclusions for each plan are listed on its card on the pricing page.
Read more →Are these subscriptions or one-time purchases?+
Each plan states its billing on its card. One-time plans are a single payment for continued access; monthly plans renew for a 30-day period. You are never charged automatically on a one-time plan.
Read more →Which currencies and payment methods do you support?+
Plans are priced in INR and paid through Razorpay, which supports UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. If you are in India you can pay in INR at checkout — same simulator, same plans.
Read more →Can I change plans later?+
Yes. When you upgrade, we credit the unused portion of your current plan against the new one, so you only pay the difference. The exact amount is shown before you confirm payment.
Read more →What counts as a device?+
A browser on a specific computer. Each plan licenses a set number of devices, shown on its card. Your first launch registers the device automatically, and if you change machines you can move your registration.
Read more →I'm blocked by a device limit — what do I do?+
Each plan licenses a set number of devices, and your first launch registers one automatically. If you have changed computers and are blocked, email contact@scanflo.io from your account address with the device you want to keep, and we will move the registration for you.
What do I need to run ScanFlo?+
A modern browser on a laptop or desktop. There is nothing to install, no GPU requirement and no imaging licences — a standard computer lab machine or a student laptop is enough. Licensing is per-device within your plan.
I can't sign in or didn't get my code+
Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email. If it has not arrived, check spam and confirm you used the same address you registered with. If it still does not appear, email contact@scanflo.io and we will verify the account and re-send.
Is it suitable for complete beginners?+
Yes. Guided cases take a first-time learner from localizer to finished series in about ten minutes, and the case library scales up to advanced protocol and artifact work.
Read more →Will this help with my exams and vivas?+
The simulator builds exactly the intuition vivas test: what happens to the image when a parameter changes, and why. The physics modules and exercises target the same reasoning.
Read more →I'm a working radiographer — is this too basic for me?+
Pro is built for you: cross-modality practice, artifact drills and protocol optimization beyond routine work. Many users are working technologists.
Is ScanFlo MRI a real physics simulation or pre-rendered images?+
Image appearance is driven by your parameter choices — TR, TE, TI, flip angle, FOV, matrix and more change contrast, noise and artifacts the way real acquisition physics dictates. It is not a set of pre-rendered pictures.
Read more →Which scanner workflow does the console follow?+
The console layout and planning workflow are modeled on Siemens-style systems, which are among the most common platforms learners meet clinically. The physics and skills transfer across vendors.
Read more →Does ScanFlo CT teach dose optimization?+
Yes — it is central to the product. CTDIvol and DLP are reported on every acquisition, and learners see how kVp, mAs, pitch and collimation move both dose and image quality.
Read more →Is CT included in the same plans as MRI?+
Yes — Pro and institutional plans include both simulators in one console. The free student tier starts with MRI core sequences.
Read more →Can learners reconstruct the same scan differently?+
Yes. The same acquisition can be reconstructed with different kernels, slice thicknesses and windows, which is exactly how learners internalize why protocols specify reconstruction parameters.
Read more →We don't own a scanner — is ScanFlo enough for console training?+
ScanFlo teaches the console workflow, parameters, planning and image evaluation — the skills that transfer directly. Hands-on patient positioning still needs clinical placement.
How does institutional licensing work?+
Institutions license seats with cohort management and instructor visibility, billed by invoice with procurement support and instructor onboarding included. Licensing starts at 10 seats on annual terms that match academic cycles.
Read more →What's the minimum commitment?+
Institutional licensing starts at 10 seats. Many institutes start with one batch and scale seat count with enrollment.
Read more →Do you support a pilot before full adoption?+
Yes — most programs start with a single-cohort pilot for one term. Book a demo and we'll scope it with your faculty.
Read more →Can instructors see student progress?+
On institutional plans, instructors get cohort views of scans completed, cases finished and skills covered. Individual plans include personal progress tracking.
What evidence do we get for accreditation?+
Every completed examination is recorded with its full parameter set and dose, hash-chained so entries cannot be quietly altered. Faculty countersign the record.
How fast can we deploy?+
Same week. Seats are provisioned centrally, trainees sign in from any workstation, and there is no software to install or image.
Can we run OSCEs on it?+
Yes. Thirty-two stations ship ready to use across protocol selection, planning accuracy, parameter optimisation and artefact recognition.
Does ScanFlo use patient data?+
No. ScanFlo never handles patient data. It is a standalone training environment — there is no clinical integration, and nothing touches your hospital systems.
Read more →Does ScanFlo integrate with our PACS or RIS?+
No integration is needed — ScanFlo is a standalone training environment that runs in a browser. Nothing touches your clinical systems.
