Your first scan
Run a complete T1-weighted brain scan in about ten minutes — from patient positioning to reviewing your images.
1. Load the patient
Open the case list and select Brain — routine adult. ScanFlo positions the virtual patient head-first supine and lands you at the console, exactly as a Siemens-style workflow would.
2. Set your parameters
Select the T1 SE sagittal protocol. The defaults below produce classic T1 contrast — change any value and the simulated image responds the way a real magnet would.
| Parameter | Value | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| TR | 500 ms | Short — drives T1 weighting |
| TE | 14 ms | Short — minimises T2 decay |
| Flip angle | 90° | Full excitation (spin echo) |
| Slice thickness | 5 mm | Routine brain coverage |
Try it:after your first scan, raise TR to 2000 ms and re-run. Watch the gray–white matter contrast wash out — that's T1 weighting disappearing in real time.
3. Scan and review
Press Scan. Acquisition runs in simulated real time; your images land in the viewer with window/level controls.
